About this piece

A witch-cauldron-shaped rat hide with an enclosed interior and fittings for mounting it securely to cage bars.

The round black cauldron and sculpted bubbling top create a clear gothic focal point while the body provides a sheltered cage retreat.

Approximate size: 19 cm high x 20 cm wide

Included: one Witch Cauldron Rat Hide and metal cage fittings

Use: indoor rat cages with standard wire bars

Production: Handmade to order in Cumbria. Dispatched in around 7 working days.

Check the fit before ordering

Measure the available cage space, doorway and intended mounting position against the 19 cm height and 20 cm width before ordering.

Care and safety

Wipe with a damp cloth and allow it to dry fully before returning it to the cage. Check the fittings and edges during normal cage cleans and remove the hide if it becomes damaged, rough or heavily chewed.

Delivery: Free UK shipping. Tracked international shipping is available at checkout.

Explore the gothic rat cage guide.

How it fixes: a headless bolt screws into a threaded metal insert in the piece, goes through the cage and is held on the outside with washers and a wing nut, so it tightens by hand. Fits cage bars up to about 2.5 cm (1 in).
